The Blood of the Mothers, Ancient Tree of Power...the Yew is herself a fulcrum of Mystery. She is long lived, but she is poison; she hollows herself out yet gains longevity, she is the old one of the Cemetery, and guardian of the Fires of the Home- and most especially, those women who have tended them. She has One Voice, and Countless Teeth.
It is in these mysteries named and unnamed that this oil sings- it is an invitation, a beckoning, and a life-sap of power. An oil to be used in the anointing of shrines and the very bones of ones house, it calls to the Mothers in the Land, those Witches and Powerful Ones, the Blessed Dead who can advise if one lives in accordance with the Power they seek. While it is our beloved Taxus that is the axis, there are over a hundred allies swirling around the Poison Pole: serpent, mandrake, hagstone, sacramentals, cauls of various animals, meteorite, numerous berries, feathers and scales, paws and feet, kindred tree leaves and roots and barks, dirts of powerful spots, dirts of powerful women, bones of beast and human alike, among dozens more ingredients.
Our arts are not without patrons, and it is the bones of those hearth keepers and witchmothers that this oil is built upon. Truly without name, and yet, it takes five names: Mother Among Witches • What Is Underground Shall Be Revealed • The Yew Bleeds The Reddest Red • The Tongue Is The Wing Of The Serpent • A Witch Among Mothers. Somewhere between these callings is an invitation, an execration, and a promise of power. Let it Root, Let it Flourish!
All vegetal, mineral and animal ingredients are legally obtained. Instructions and information will be provided on a cloth scroll.
